There are so many cliché’s about dealing with loss and too many ‘movie endings’ that tell you how it should be. Like anything else in life, the journey is yours to take and yours alone. Of course true friends and healthy family lend their support to get you over the hump but the recovery and how you choose to deal with it, whether it stops you in your tracks and cripples you for a time or you plug away at life’s daily routine to get your footing back – the path is yours to take. We are thankful for the partnership we have in each other to know when the going is tough we have each other to lean on and laugh with and then pull up our big boy/girl pants and get back to living.
We kept busy working on the GMC Motorhome. We have had a lot of discussion about the understeer problems we were having. While I had planned on sharing our suspension rebuild on our YouTube channel, with everything else that was going on recording the process was forgotten. Hopefully we have enough video footage and photos that we can piece a video together.
As you can see we had our work cut out for us! We had SO much play in the front right tire that it was too dangerous to drive. We have replaced bearings, seals, bushings, shocks and the damper shock, adjusted camber and castor and much more! There will be posts soon that give more detail. While a trip to the Caribbean may have been a pleasant diversion from dealing with the loss of my mother-in-law, we are thankful there was plenty to do to keep our minds and hands occupied this past week!
