It’s been a trying year, even the dog has been feeling angsty! We had to wait until nearly the last minute but we are now celebrating the end of 2022 with a weight off all of our shoulders. After waiting for six months, from the discovery of the tumors on my adrenal glands to the removal of the tumor, I got the phone call from the doctor this very morning, December 30th, that the tumor they removed is benign. A benign tumor is an abnormal but noncancerous collection of cells. It can form anywhere on or in your body when cells multiply more than they should or don’t die when they should. There really isn’t anything to add except my gratitude to Swedish Hospital Emergency Room in Seattle for finding the tumors when I went in for the kidney stone and referring me to Dr Philip Chapman. Thank you to friends and especially family for supporting me when they were scared out of their minds yet put up a strong supportive front. Thank you to my sweet husband who had to face grocery shopping the week before Christmas in addition, of course, of letting me have my feelings and being a rock even with what felt like tectonic pressure trying to erode his strength.

All things considered, we had a great 2022 and are looking forward with a renewed sense of gratitude and optimism to 2023.
Happy New Year.
