We decided to go for a walk this morning before the weather changes. The dogs needed fresh air as much as we did.
The sidewalks are lined with Cherry Blossom trees and the daffodils are opening. It was a nice day for a walk while we unhook from the news.
We did a few practice runs on making stepping stones. I used too much concrete for the first one so we’ll have to dig pretty deep to get it to lay flat in the garden! The next two are looking good. I like the new, to me, way to put them together. I cut out contact paper to fit the bottom of a cake pan then on the sticky side I placed the marbles and mosaic tiles so the pattern doesn’t slide. Almost had a throw away with the monogram – I put the letter right side up, thankfully someone caught it before pouring the concrete and I could reverse it! I sprayed the insides of the pan with cooking spray so the step will slide right out when it’s done, gotta love Pinterest. This is going to be a nice family art project!
The dogs are pooped – and have taken over the entire couch!
It seems like a good night for a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and garlic bread! It’s smelling delicious with slices of lemon, thyme and garlic. Wishing us all peace and stability right now.
