I forgot to measure first but I got lucky. I saw this stacking silverware tray (oh, excuse me, CUTLERY organizer) online and thought it was a great idea for our compact kitchen area. It is officially installed in the skinny cut out section of the top drawer, as though it was made for this particular piece.
